The Louisa Tooker Library is located at the most westerly end of Whaletown rd. It was built in 1926 as a shelter for those waiting for the steamship to arrive at the nearby dock. Later it was taken over by the Whaletown Women’s Institute. In 1958 The Whaletown Community Club became the caretaker of the library. It is run and organized by our amazing volunteers.
